Overview & Challenge
Their new employee application required simplification and friction points reduction.
Carroll Bradford is a construction solutions provider in Florida. Their internal project management app, used by employees out in the field, was cumbersome and confusing to use. They needed to simplify the design and rearrange the interface to reduce friction points. My task was to create a new design system, and slightly restructure the app. The biggest challenges were to 1) simplify the design and color use to improve the user experience, to 2) improve the information architecture of the app to make it easier for the users to easily scroll through and find what they need amongst a large amount of content, and to 3) make it adaptive responsive.

The Solution
The new design improved the workflow and saved valuable time for employees using this app.
By shifting my focus to the user, I was able to optimize their application and simplify the process of initiating and managing projects and tasks for the Carroll Bradford team members. I did this through clear typography and color hierarchy, using space and lighter colors as a way to help declutter, using contrast to easily identify the call to actions, and laying out the content so that skimming through it was not daunting.
